This site is the online extension of a tumblr book by its editors. Our book is a peer-reviewed 2020 collection of essays by scholars, activists, industry people and a variety of tumblr users that offers analysis and testimony regarding the significance and impact of tumblr. The book is freely available in Open Access format from the University of Michigan Press , as well as in hard/paper copy.
